HAPPY HALLOWEEN

HAPPY HALLOWEEN YOU LOT!

I hope you all have a safe and fabulous halloween! I uploaded 3 makeup looks to my channel and I'm gunna talk about them here for a bit!

NUMBER 1: CAT-TASTIC MAKEUP

So this was an accidental halloween makeup look. How? Well I brought the cat ear headband in good ole' Sainsburys and then I was thinking... "I can't buy cat ears and not do a cat halloween makeup look".

In all honesty, I didn't want to do this makeup look. It's unoriginal and many many people do it. But also, many people choose to wear this look at halloween so it was also a perfect video idea. In the end I loved the look and ended up having like 5 minutes of posing footage to edit because I was digging it that much!

NUMBER 2: OLD DOLL // CLOWN MAKEUP

This one was inspired by lots of different images. I originally planned a clown makeup look but due to the recent clown debacle that has been going on, I figured people might not wanna dress up as a clown. So I decided to make this half clown, half doll makeup look. The only bit that is clown is the nose and the black triangles. The rest is meant to be doll themed.

I tried to make it look as though I was an old doll, a battered and used one. I made my face white, making sure it looked like a cloudy white and also tried to contour with a grey ish eyeshadow! I actually really enjoyed this and loved the outcome. I even scared my step-dad with it so that was a winner.


NUMBER 3: DEAD GIRL MAKEUP

This next one was inspired by a girl called Ailish. (HER CHANNEL HERE). She did a deer halloween makeup tutorial with a gun shot and so I took inspiration from the gunshot and decided to make something up myself. I called it 'DEAD GIRL' because, well for one I'm a girl and two, if you have a gun shot in your head the theory is that your probably dead. So Volia, dead girl. 

I decided to add a little cut to the other side of my forehead and some blood tears and blood smudge (or dribble as I said in my video) just to add to the affect of being dead. I also did a smokey grey eyeshadow and ended up LOVING it so I'm probably gunna do a non-halloween makeup tutorial on that as well. (Ooooh)


So! There you have it, 3 halloween makeup looks. I really enjoyed doing these makeup looks and had so much fun creating, filming and editing them. I was nice to be able to actually do okay makeup looks considering I am shocking at creative stuff and not at all artistic. So hey, if I can do it... ANYONE can!

Hello

Well well well, look what has happened.

I have come back to my blog. (Captain Obvious here)

I knew I'd probably regret it if I shut it down and hid it away forever from the internet, so I'm glad I kept it.

After stumbling across the bookmark for blogger saved in my looong list of saved crap, I decided to have a blast from the past and explore what 2014/15 Laura used to chat about. Obviously beauty, but yanno, that was my theme.

So apart from the ironic Adele title, I wanted to say a hello. Introduce myself to those of you who are new and catch up with those who have stuck around. Though I doubt there will be many since I changed my blog from the horrific 'BeautyByLaura' name. *eye roll emoji*

My name is Laura Bailey (if you didn't guess that then wow, clue is in the name of the blog). I'm 17 and I'm from the good ol United Kingdom. England specifically. I'm currently in college doing childcare. I also have a YouTube channel and I love it a lot. I love food and love to sing. Urm, that's about it so hello, hi, hola, bonjour and all that jazz.

Quite a bit has changed since I left this blog. I was still 16, at highschool and about to enter the daunting task of exams. I have since gone on to come out with 4 B's and I believe 5 C's at GCSE and go onto Sixth form. Which I hated. I did a year of that, coming out with a C in Health and Social care. I won't mention the other two grades.. Ha...haaha. I then changed to go to College and that's where I am now.

My YouTube has gotten really successful since I left. I can't remember how many subscribers I had when I left, I believe under 10 but I now have a whopping 313! It means the world to me and I looove doing videos and editing so freaking much.

WHY? May you ask, have I come back to this blog.
Well honestly, no flippin idea. I just thought I'd give it ago. When I started my blog it was a gateway for me really. I didn't want to do YouTube due to the horror that is school and I lacked the confidence. (Not that my first videos show confidence AT ALL). I desperately wanted to do YouTube but I couldn't bring myself to do it. So, I decided to go for the next best thing... A blog.

I'll be honest, didn't really enjoy my blog experience but I stuck it out for I think a year or so before moving on to YouTube. It took me a while to find my feet with YouTube and I think I've finally gotten there. I love it and so if you wanna check that out, I'll link it here. 

So I don't know what this blog will consist of. Probably updates on new videos I post and any other random crap. I recently have discovered a love for writing again so I think I'll use this as a 'when and as' I feel like posting kinda space.

I hope you enjoy reading my posts, which will be very informal and very much a conversation that I've had in my head with myself as I type away. If you want to get to know my personality better I suggest watching a few of my videos so you can see why I chat such weird sh*t.

So hello again to those older readers and hello to those new ones.
