Christmas Nail Polishes

Today I thought i'd share my favourite Christmas edition nail polishes. I have included a clear nail varnish just because it's such an amazing clear polish. On my nails, it makes my nails look like gels when they aren't. I put this on sometimes before and always after I've put on a colour!

Nail Varnishes - In order, 1st to 3rd Picture & Left to Right:

  • Barry M Gelly Nail Paint - Pomegrante
  • Claires // Millie Mackintosh Collection - Ruby
  • L'Oreal - 503 Addictive Plum
  • Rimmel Lasting Finish - 030 Double Decker Red (Not sure if this is still available as it was a while ago I bought this shade)
  • Claries - Magic Carpet
  • Jess - Pixie
  • Claires - Frost Bite
  • NYC In a New York minute colour - 202 Grand Central Station
  • Maybelline Color Show - 107 Watery Waste

The last one is a gold shade. It doesn't have a name or brand but my mum gave it to me from a set of 3 she bought, she just didn't like this shade. I love it, it's a nice glittery gold and I have it now on my nails for Christmas.

The two Claires nail varnishes in the second photo are ones that you could either wear on there own as a something a bit more subtle or you can over lay them on another shade which is a really nice idea.

Thanks for reading. This will be my last blog post till after Christmas.
Hope you all have a great Christmas and get everything you've asked for!

Excited For Christmas Tag

Jasmine tagged me to do this post so here we go!

1) Are your Christmas decorations up? If not, when are you putting them up?
Yes they are up! We put them up on the 14th. Our tree is silver and blue themed this year!

2) What's at the top of your Christmas list?
Urmm... probably my sisters old iPad. Well I wanted an iPad and my sister got a new one so for Christmas I'm getting her old one :D

3) Do you have an advent calender?
Yes my one is a dairy milk one! mmmm!

4) Have you bought all your Christmas presents or do you leave them all last minute to buy?
I have been really bad this year, usually I get it done and dusted really quickly but this year i've been a bit slack and have done late Christmas shopping!

5) Favourite Christmas films(s)?
ELF FOR SURE.

6) Have you tried the Costa Christmas range?
Nope, not a huge Costa drinker.

7) Favourite Christmas scent?
Oh I don't know. Can I say the smell of the Christmas dinner when it's being cooked? haha!!

8) Do you wish for a white Christmas?
Yeah and no. I do cause it mean's it'll be properly Christmas but no because it's already cold enough!!

9) Typical Christmas meal?
Roast dinner! mmm! Stuffing, potatoes, yorkshire puddings.. The lot! My mum usually does a range of meats so that everyone in our house is happy!

10) What tops your Christmas tree?
A little fairy/angel. She wears a purple dress and we've had her since I was a little girl :)

11) Admit it: Do you own a cringey Christmas jumper?
No I don't but I actually really want to get a Rudolph one or and Elf one!!

12) Do you have any traditions throughout December before Christmas day?
No not really, just the usual... eat advent calender chocolates, put up the tree. Stuff like that!

That's it! Hope you enjoyed!

and who ever else would like to do this!

Maybelline // Colour Tattoos // Review

I currently only own two Colour Tattoos.
65 Pink Gold (pink one obviously)
40 Permanent Taupe

These colour tattoos are beautiful. The taupe one looks brownish in the pictures but on the eyelid it looks, as the name suggests, taupe coloured! It is a really nice base and I would say its a matte finish compared to the Pink Gold. The pink on is so beautiful and I have created a really beautiful pink eye look with this as the base. Such gorgeous colours and I can't wait to expand my collection. I think they are really great for beginners who want to easily create an simple eye look. They don't seem to crease and last a super long time.

Short & sweet again I know :)

40 Beauty Questions Tag

I decided to do this tag today, I was casually scrolling through the internet and I thought 'how about I do my first tag post'. So without further ado.. here we go.

SKINCARE

- How many times a day do you wash your face?
Twice, morning and night. You're really not supposed to do it anymore than that.
-What skin type do you have?
Oily. Well actually i'd say combination. My eyes and under my nose gets dry, my cheeks are normal and the rest is oily.
-What is your current facial wash?
Simple Refreshing Facial Gel Wash.
- Do you exfoliate?
Yes but not often, I do it at least once or twice a week to remove the build up of any dead skin.
-What brand do you use?
Not too sure what the brand is called but I've used the Clean&Clear Exfoliating Daily Wash and that's good because it's nice and gentle.
-What moisturiser do you use?
Simple Rich Moisturiser, used to use the light one.. both just as good.
-Do you have freckles?
Yeah, slightly. Not major freckle overload but they are there.
-Do you use an eye cream?
I used to, not anymore. I only used to because my eyes went through a really dry stage and an eye cream was the only thing that worked.
-Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
Yes unfortunately I do. Still battling it. Have had clear skin before though but just seemed to come back :(
-Did you ever use Pro-Activ?
No. I heard a lot of mixed reviews on it so I didn't bother.

MAKEUP

-What foundation do you use?
It depends, I like to change it everyday but two i've been loving recently are both Rimmel. Rimmel Match Perfection & Lasting Finish foundation.
-How about concealer?
i haven't used concealer in ages so none at the moment.
-Do you know your undertone colour?
I believe neutral or cool, my skin is some where inbetween.
-What do you think of fake eyelashes?
If you like to wear them, you go on and rock them. I love the look of fake eyelashes, obviously if they aren't TOO bold. I'd just never know how to apply them properly.
-Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?
I knew there was a time limit, didn't know it was 3 months. If you look on the packaging of products it usually says how long after opening it that it can be in use for.
-What brand of mascara do you use?
I have a selection.. Rimmel, Maybelline and many others, I like to switch it up everyday like I do my foundation.
-Sephora or MAC?
Never tried Sephora as I live in the UK so I'd say MAC.
-Do you have a MAC Pro-card?
Nope.
-What makeup tools do you use in makeup application?
Usually Real Technique or any other brushes in my collection.
-Do you use a makeup base/primer for the eyes?
Nope, I really should do though.
-For the face?
Again, nope.. I should do, it'd make my makeup last a lot longer.
-What is your favorite eye-shadow (colour or shade)?
Don't often use eyeshadow so I don't have a favorite.
-Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
Both.
-How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Well I've gotten better, don't really poke myself anymore haha!
-What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
I think they are so cool and when I get better at doing my eyeshadow I'd LOVE to experiment with some.
-Do you use mineral makeup?
I have experimented with it a little, it seems okay. I'd like to try it out some more though.
-What is your favorite lipstick?
Revlon Lip Butter in 050 Berry Smoothie OR the Natural Collection lipstick in Sorbet.
-How about lipgloss?
I'm not a huge fan of lipgloss so none i'd say.
-What is your favorite blush to use?
The blush out of the Sleek Face Form Palette.
-Do you buy makeup on eBay?
Nope.
-Do you like drugstore makeup?
YESSS! I'M ALL ABOUT THE DRUGSTORE MAKEUP! ain't nobody got time for high end all the time!
-Do you go to CCO'S (cosmetic company outlets)?
I have no idea what this means so I'm going to say I probably do?
-Did you ever consider taking makeup classes?
Well yeah I'd possibly like to one day!
-Are you clumsy putting makeup on?
YES! With my mascara and liquid eyeliner the most!
-Name a makeup crime you hate?
Bright orange foundation lines!!!
-Do you like colourful shades of makeup (lipstick..eyeshadow...) or neutral ones?
I like both. It's nice to experiment and wear both!
-What celebrity always has great makeup?
All celebrities? haha! I don't know. OH Kylie / Kendall Jenner?
-If you could leave the house with ONE makeup item on, what would you use?
Mascara or powder for sure! Not to bothered about the rest. Even though I have blemished skin, I don't mind being seen without make up so yeah mascara or powder.
-Could you ever leave the house with no make up on?
I kinda just answered this lol, yeah I could.
-Do you think you look good without any makeup on?
I look pale and tired. I don't think I look the best.
-In your opinion, what do you think is the BEST makeup line?
Ooh this is a tough one. I'll say my top 3 brands from the drugstore because I cannot think of one good makeup line where I like ALL of the lines products. So Rimmel, Maybelline and Sleek.
-What do you think of makeup?
I think makeup is a way girls can be creative and express how they want to look through make up I guess? Probably worded that wrong. I wanna say that makeup is fun and a nice thing to experiment with but don't ever feel you have to hide behind makeup. Everyone has flaws and no one really points peoples flaws out (and if they do, tell them kindly to remove themselves from your life because you don't need people doing that and they are being mean). Got that little saying from Zoella. Shes amazing!

YouTuber's Products

I also recently got Zoe's book 'Girl Online'.

As someone who is obsessed with YouTube and YouTuber's, I always like to show my dedication by going out and buying their products that they release. I have Alfie's book and Zoe's perfume, along with the fizz bar. I also have Tanya's lipgloss (I only own one so far, I do want to purchase more).
I love every single one of their products and i'm not just saying it because they are my favorite YouTuber's. They are great products and a nice way to show your support to them.

I know this was short and sweet but I posted 3 posts yesterday.

//Update//

Hello Lovelies.
I wanted to do a little update post just to let you guys know whats happening.
At the moment I'm doing my GCSE'S at school and I'm in my final year. This means that I can't give my full dedication to my blog or instagram. I'll still try and post on here once a week and especially over the christmas break I'll be posting more but school will take up a lot of my time in the new year so do please bare with me.
On my instagram I decided i'm going to post every other day. This is so I don't run out of anything to post, bore you with endless pictures of the same stuff and lastly so I can focus on my school work.

I hope you guys don't mind. I will try my best to throw in the odd special blog post every now and then in the new year.

Thank you all for your support and you're lovely comments and things like that. It does mean a lot to me :)

Revlon Lip Butters - Mini Review // Swatches

063 Wild Watermelon, 080 Strawberry Shortcake (at the back of the 3) & 045 Cotton Candy.

095 Creme Brulee, 053 Sorbet, 005 Sugar Frosting & 090 Sweet Tart (Front Pink)

050 Berry Smoothie

Review

I love the Revlon Lip Butter range. They have such a beautiful selection of colours. The formula is so moisturizing and the colour payoff is still amazing. My favorite at the moment is the last on, 050 Berry Smoothie. It's such a beautiful autumn/christmas shade and I'm so in love with it. I have a selection of bright colours and nudes. I love the nudes best as they are great for everyday wear but the bright colours are also good for days/evenings out or occasions.

Bourjois

I own 4 Bourjois products. The Healthy Mix Serum Foundation, Healthy Mix Foundation, 123 Perfect CC Cream & The Healthy Mix Concealer.

Healthy Mix Serum Foundation

This foundation is a beautiful foundation. It's a serum foundation which makes it different to the normal foundation. It has a gel formula/consistency and that's what sets it apart from the normal foundation. It's a light coverage foundation which is great for those of you out there who have good skin. It is a yellow toned foundation so it really blurs out any redness on the skin. I love this foundation so so so much and cannot recommend it enough. One thing I will say to those of you out there with oily skin is that you WILL need to re-powder with this foundation but apart from that it is a great foundation!

Healthy Mix Foundation

I bought this foundation to try to see if it was like the serum foundation but with medium coverage. To my disappointment it wasn't as good as the serum foundation. I believe the 'Healthy Mix' range is for dry skin as they have very moisturizing formulas (well the serum does) but unfortunaltly on my OILY skin, the foundation looked dry and a little bit cakey. I haven't worn it recently and I do think I'll try it again this weekend but I wasn't AS impressed with this one as the serum! Also the shade range was slightly different even though the foundations are from the same range... odd I know? It is a nice foundation but just not my fave.

123 Perfect CC Cream

This is no ordinary CC Cream. Normally BB & CC creams are light coverage but this one is very different. It has full coverage and usually lasts a decent couple of hours. It last a nice matte finish. The only thing I don't like is that after a little while, on my skin it looks cakey. But overall, I can't fault the product. Gives good coverage and keeps my skin looking matte.

Healthy Mix Concealer

I love this concealer so much. Again like the CC cream, it leaves a matte finish on your skin which is something you rarely see from a concealer. It is really good coverage and like the rest of the Bourjois products I've talked about, it is very yellow toned. It blurs redness and imperfections nicely and lasts a fairly decent time on the skin. I like the packaging because a for me a little goes a long way so it makes me feel like I get more out of the product. I love this concealer so much and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a decent coverage concealer.

Professor Green Concert // Get Ready with Me

TODAY IS THE DAY! YAY! SO EXCITED!!!!

I'm posting this today, early in the morning so I can get it done so enjoy!

Make Up: The finished look

I did moisturize my skin before with the Simple Rich Moisturizer.

Foundation & Powder

I used the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr foundation in 100 Ivory because it keeps me looking matte and shine free for a really long time, so this is great for a concert! It is also a full coverage foundation and I felt like I wanted to make an effort as it is an event so I went full coverage! I used around 1 and a half pumps and evenly blended this onto my skin with the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. I next powdered with the Rimmel Stay Matte in 001 Transparent, I just lightly dusted this all around my face with this dupe brush for the Real Techniques Powder Brush (not sure what it's actual name is but that's what I call it!)

Bronzer, Blush & Highlight

Firstly I did bronzer. I used the Sleek Face Form Palette for all three. I used the EcoTools Large Powder Brush for the bronzer, just dusting it on my cheek bones and slightly along my temples/forehead. For blush, I used the E.L.F Complexion Brush to lightly dust some shimmer and glow onto my cheeks. For highlighter, I used the Real Techniques Contour Brush to very carefully add a little shimmer to the tops of my cheek bones! And lastly to blend everything out together (so I didn't look all muddy and not blended) I used the Primark Flat Top Brush to blend everything out nicely!

Brows & Eyeliner

I used the spoolie to brush out my brows and get the kinda shape I want because my brows are wild! Then I used a flat eyeshadow brush and lightly go over my brows with the Natural Collection eyeshadow in 'Milk Chocolate'. Next is eyeliner. I lined my tight line wiith the Rimmel Kohl Eyeliner in 061 Jet Black. I then try and attempt to do my eyeliner. I used the Collection Extreme Felt Tip Liner! Now i'm no pro but I felt it went pretty well this time! I did a little flick at the end just to be fancy because normally I can't do flicks!

Eyeshadow

I just used the highlighter from the Sleek Palette, dusted it lightly over my eyelids and gave a nice shimmer. I just used a fluffy brush to do this!

Mascara

I curl my lashes with the good ol' Primark Eyelash Curler! The first mascara I use is the Natural Collection Lash Definition!  This makes my lashes SUPER long and for me that's the look I love. To finish of my mascara, I coat my lashes with the Rimmel 100% Waterproof  Mascara - Yanno, just for watery protection haha!

Lips

I didn't know what one to choose, so here is two lip options! The Revlon Lip Butter in 050 Berry Smoothie or the H&M Lip Pen in 'Honey Suckle'.

OUTFIT
ps; excuse how bizarre I look, I tried to get some decent pictures of the outfit.

Top: Primark £6
High Waisted Jeans: Primark £10?
Blazer: Matalan £15
Shoes:  Matalan £12

Sleek Face Form Palette

Hello lovelies!
Hope you're all okay! Today's blog post will be another review but it will be on the Sleek Face Form Palette!

ENJOY!

Packaging:
The packaging is beautiful. It's such a 'sleek' (hence the name!) and simple design but it's so nice. Most Sleek products come with a box packaging, which usually has most of the information about the product on it because the main product packaging has little writing on it. It is a really nicely packaged product, it looks more expensive than is it, which is nice.

Bronzer:
This bronzer is so good, it isn't too brown or too red toned which is good for a drugstore bronzer! It doesn't make you look muddy so it's good for beginners and it isn't super super pigmented so you can control the amount you want easily.

Blush:
The blush is beautiful! It has some gold shimmers through it which makes it incredibly beautiful. Its a nice colour for everyday wear and I think it would suit most skin tones. If you were only interested in buying the blush, try and look for a rose gold shade. Its a beautiful blush so I'd buy this palette just for the blush!

Highlighter:
I'm going to be honest, I'm not really a 'highlightery' person because I have oily skin :( but when there are events or i'm doing something especially nice, I will experiment with it. It is a beautiful colour and the odd occasion that i've used it on my eyes for eyeshadow it really is beautiful.

Overall:
I love this palette, I do really recommend it for beginners. It's a great product for the price and I use it most days! I cannot recommend this enough!

Hope this review helped some of you.
My Professor Green Get Ready with Me will either be up later tonight or Monday, I had to do the look and photos for the post today because tomorrow is going to be SUPER busy!
Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Favorite Foundations

Hello there!
This is unusual, two posts in one day. Yeah well I was meant to do one on Monday and Tuesday and failed so here they are!! I've also got a post coming on Saturday as well so look out for that!

Today's second post will be on my favorite foundations! Now this is a bit overdue and probably from the last couple of weeks so they might not be completely accurate but I'll update you soon enough!

Comment below or comment on a recent instagram picture if you would like a 'Get Ready With Me//Outfit of the night' Blog post this weekend. I'm going to see Professor Green in concert so I wouldn't mind doing that if you guys wanted to see that!

On with the blog post!!

Foundation List: MaxFactor FaceFinity 3in1 Foundation in 40 Light Ivory, Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation 100 Ivory and Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation in 51 Vanille Clair.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation
Oh my goodness. This foundation needs an award for itself. That sounds so stupid but thats how much I love it. It's light coverage but it's great. It's yellow toned which means it nicely conceals redness! It's a moisturizing foundation which can prove both good and bad for me and my oily skin. It's good because my skin has been going through dry spells due too a new treatment i've been using for my skin (more on that another time). But unfortunately due to my oily skin, it does need re-powdering during the day.

MaxFactor FaceFinity 3in1 Foundation
I really like this foundation. It's medium coverage and just makes me look flawless(which is hard haha!). The one problem I have is that I got it in the lightest shade because pretty much all the reviews said that the foundation oxidized after a could of hours wear. Luckily for me it didnt oxidize, therefore the foundation is still a little too light. So I do think I need a new shade, but I just wanted to be sure what shade I was. So do be warned when/if you buy this foundation to consider the shades.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation
This foundation is amazing coverage. I really enjoyed the coverage for ages! Kinda got sick of it though, only cause I get a bit bored of foundations eventually (I don't like wearing foundations that much). It's a nice colour and actually lasted really well. It stayed pretty matte considering my oily skin so always good for people who want a long lasting matte look! I really enjoy this foundation, especially for more dressed up events!

Hope you enjoyed these reviews! If you want a more in depth review of one of these comment below!

Real Techniques Brushes

Hello Lovelies!
Been very busy the last couple of days but I'm back.
I want to apologize for the lack of decent quality images on my Instagram Blog, it keeps getting super dark, super early so I find it difficult to get decent lighting. I'll try this weekend to get some new photos!

Today's post will be a review of the Real Techniques Brushes! Enjoy...(PS; excuse my dirty, well loved brushes!)

Real Techniques Core Collection

This set includes: Buffing Brush, Pointed Foundation Brush, Contour Brush and a Detailer Brush.

  • The buffing brush I LOVE! It's so amazing and what I find with a lot of the RT brushes, they are so versatile, you can use them for anything and everything and this brush is it! Powder, concealer, foundation and blusher or anything. It is a great all round brush!
  • The pointed foundation brush... hmm.. I must say, I didn't really like this. It's a bit odd and most of the RT brushes are so so soft and lovely but this one I don't feel is that good. I tried to use it for concealer but just didn't agree with it. Sorry RT but I still love your other brushes!
  • The contour brush is beautiful. I love it! It's great for bronzer and blusher, especially for beginners in bronzer (like me). It's so easy to contour with or even bronze with which is so handy for beginners!
  • Lastly the detailer brush. Hmm haven't used it much, probably once or twice for bold lip colours. It's a good little brush, easy to line your lips if your using a bold lip colour. I don't own any lip liners so when I wanted my bold lipstick to look on point, I lined my lips with the brush (and the colour on it obviously) and it helped a lot!
Overall I really like the core kit. Make sure you would use every brush though so the 20 odd pounds you spend on it doesn't go to waste!

Other Brushes

My other brushes include: Expert Face Brush & Stippling Brush.
  • The expert face brush, oh my golly gosh! I LOVE THIS BRUSH SO MUCH! I got this brush second in my collection and I love it! Like the buffing brush, you can use it for ANYTHING! Concealer, powder, foundation! ANYTHING! Okay, Okay I know I need to calm myself! But it is truly an amazing brush! If you're not sure what to buy first, I'd say this brush! It's a good little brush and is sooo versatile! LOVE LOVE LOVE <3
  • The stippling brush.. hmm, well this was the first ever RT brush I bought and I didn't really like it. I wanted a dense stippling brush and this wasn't it! Haven't used it in a while, but it is good for blending out bronzer and blush! It's a nice little brush but not my fave!
Overall I do really love the Real Techniques Brushes! They are great quality and so so soft and even after being washed, they are still great quality!

Hope you enjoyed this blog post tonight and hope you're all okay!
